Pricing

Free for 7 days. Then $39.99 or $89.99 a month.

Basic is $39.99 a month and Pro is $89.99. On either plan you keep 90% of every client's payment after the card fee. Blockwalk keeps 10%.

Prices can change before launch. If they do, this page changes first, before anyone is charged.

Your first 7 days are free. You add a card on Stripe's page to start, and it isn't charged during the free week. On day 8 it's charged for the plan you picked, unless you cancel online before.

  • After Stripe's card fee, keep 90% of what your clients pay

A client pays one all-in price, and taxes are extra. Out of each payment, Stripe's card fee comes off first. You keep 90% of what is left. Blockwalk keeps 10%. So the card fee is shared 90/10, the same way as the money. The card fee is Stripe's, about 3.6% plus 30 cents a payment. Coming soon: the real fee, shown on each payment.

Is Pro worth $89.99?

  • When you sell a fourth site. Basic holds 3 live client sites. Pro costs $50 more a month. One more client at $200 a month puts about $173 a month in your account, so the fourth client pays for the step up and then some.
  • When a client wants Editorial or Poster. You can build and show either on Basic. Taking one live needs Pro. These are two more looks to offer. They do not promise more sales.
  • Domains are coming soon, so don't count them yet. Connecting a domain you own is free on both plans. Pro adds room for more of them and $20 a year toward buying up to 3 domains. You pay the rest. Buying a domain through Blockwalk is coming soon.
  • Priority support is not here yet. Don't pay for it today. It is on the list once the support inbox opens.
  • Today Pro gives you two things: a fourth client and beyond, and two more templates. That is the whole case, so be honest with yourself about it. If you won't sell 4 sites in your first months, start on Basic. You can move up to Pro from Manage plan the day you need it.

Before you pay

How billing works

  • Basic is $39.99 a month and Pro is $89.99 a month. Taxes are extra where they apply.
  • A card is required to start. You pick a plan and add your card on Stripe's page, and your first 7 days are free. Your card is not charged during the free week.
  • On day 8 your card is charged for the plan you picked, then every month on the same date, until you cancel. Cancel before day 8 and you pay nothing.
  • Cancel online any time from Manage plan in your account. You don't need to call or email anyone. After day 8 you keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for, and the next charge doesn't happen.
  • Coming soon: an email 3 days before your card is first charged, with the amount and a cancel link. Until it is switched on, your account shows how many free days are left, so check there.
  • If a payment fails, you keep your plan while Stripe tries the card again. Your account shows a red banner with an Update card button.

What your clients agree to is shown to them before they pay. They cancel online from their owner page, and their site stays up until the end of the month they paid for. The price a client sees is the whole price. Taxes are added where they apply.

What your clients pay

You set it. Here's the math at the editor's starting price.

The editor starts you at $1,000 to set up and $200 a month. Change either one for each business. When payments launch, the owner pays through a checkout link and never needs a Blockwalk account.

Each client at $200 puts about $173 in your account every month. That is 90% of the payment after Stripe's card fee, which is shared 90/10 with Blockwalk. Ten of them is about $1,730 a month.

At $200 a month, 1 client covers Basic and 1 client covers Pro. Ten clients on Pro leave you about $1,640 a month after the plan.

What happens after the 7 days?

Your card is charged for the plan you picked, and you keep using the map and building sites. If you cancelled before day 8, nothing is charged and you pick a plan when you're ready. Before launch we'll post what happens to your previews and live sites if you don't.

Does a site that doesn't sell count against my plan?

No. Only live sites count. A business that says no costs you the walk and nothing else.

Can I bill clients myself?

In the US, billing runs through Blockwalk so your payouts happen on their own. A bill-them-yourself mode is planned for countries Stripe can't pay out to.

Does my plan show up on my clients' bill?

No. Your clients pay the price you set. Your plan is between you and Blockwalk.
