Step 3 of 3
Build your first site in 5 minutes.
Pick a street you walk every day. The bakery you pass on the way to work, the barber by the bus stop, the tire shop on the corner. You already know what they sell and when they're quiet.
- 1
Open the map and find that street
Drag the map over it and press Search this area.
- 2
Leave the No website filter on
Green pins have no website listed. Amber pins have only an Instagram or Facebook page. Both are worth a visit.
- 3
Tap one you recognize
Search its name on Google first. If it turns out to have a website after all, pick another.
- 4
Press Build a website
Blockwalk writes the words from the business's public details. Give it a minute.
- 5
Pick the template that fits
Try a few. A bakery and a tire shop shouldn't look the same. Hearth suits food, Hardhat suits trades, Clinic suits health and care.
- 6
Fix anything that reads wrong
Click a headline or paragraph to change it. Or type what you want changed, like "mention we're open Sundays", and Blockwalk rewrites it.
7 free days is enough for a first sale. Build five sites tonight and show them tomorrow afternoon. Each preview stays up for 7 days from the day you build it.
When you've built it
Open it on your phone and walk past at a quiet time. Ask for the owner, say you built them a website, and hand them the phone.
